Week 13-15 in Review
Over the past 3 weeks I’ve watched football in a bunch of different places. Brian Richman’s house, Bloomington, Indiana, and at John O’Brien’s place. Well while watching in three different places, here are some observations for this year.
Weather has a bigger effect on NFL than we thought- 2 games; 49ers vs Bills and Rams vs 49ers had the biggest effect in snow recently. The Bills dominated the Niners in the snow and the Rams and Niners couldn’t do anything in the very boring Thursday night game.
The 12-team playoff is great- This year is the first year of the 12-team playoff. And while we got some interesting future matchups, especially in round 2, it somewhat proves that we are going to get the best teams in the end. The 12 team eliminates the possibility of everyone being angry this 1-loss team didn’t get in. There is the excuse that they just needed to win one more game.
O-line is once again how you win- Lions, Denver, Eagles, and Bills all have really great or much improved teams due to the performance of their O-line. I think the biggest formula to success is getting large men from SEC schools. They can move and they can stop other big men.
Big Board December
Bears Bit
I am pretty much defeated after the last 7 games. So here is another three round mock and yes I am penciling in this is the strategy if Vrabel is our coach.
I went all OL and all SEC. Gimme all the iOL and see who wins.
32 Team Mock Draft
Since I missed the last 3 weeks here is a full 32 team mock draft. The biggest realization from this draft is the talent drops of A TON after the first 15 picks. Like it gets tough if you have any big needs after the mid first round.
